This years Christmas for the boys was all about cars, tractors, and trains. The boys couldn't get enough of it. Although, we had to convince Keegan to come back and open more presents after he opened his first. That car was all he wanted. After awhile, he got more into it and he became the normal kid at Christmas, tearing into the presents like that was his job. At one point, Keegan was interested in what Nolan was opening and Nolan was interested in what Keegan was playing with. There were a few tug of wars, but the party kept going. Grammy, GrandDad, and Uncle Klynt spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with us and of course, Daddy was home too for a few days from Georgia.
The Thursday after Christmas, I traveled to Illinois with the boys and spent some time with my family.

We had our Sickbert/Baker Christmas at my Aunt and Uncle's house on Saturday. There we enjoyed a wonderful dinner, opening up gifts

as my Uncle played Santa,

a vicious game of UNO,

and delicious desserts. That has always been the highlight of Christmas for me, seeing cousins I haven't seen in awhile and their children and everyone being together, waiting anxiously to play UNO. Grandpa hung back and played with Nolan and Keegan. I'm not sure if I really sat through a whole round of UNO. There was always something going on with the boys, like Nolan pulling a cup of lemonade onto himself. Did I say Grandpa was watching him?

So that was a mess to clean up, but the game went on even with me running around like a mad woman. My trip was cut short when Keegan started running a temperature Sunday morning (New Years Eve). I knew we needed to get home in case we needed to see a doctor. The next few days, he ran a temp. and did a lot of sleeping. Something viral I guess. He's back to his old self now and the two continue to fight over the cars, tractors and trains they got for Christmas. Unless you separate them and put them in different rooms, I have a feeling this will always be the case. What's sharing anyway?
Happy Holidays! I can't believe it's 2007.
